“Bourne” sequel and “News Of The World” director Paul Greengrass will team with “The Power of the Dog” and “Doctor Strange” actor Benedict Cumberbatch on the action drama “The Hood” which is being sold at the Cannes marketplace.
Greengrass will pen and direct the film set during the peasant revolt in England. Cumberbatch will play a farmer who become the leader in a film likened to “Gladiator” and “Braveheart”.
Tyler Thompson and Greggory Goodman will produce. The film joins a packed line-up of high profile in the works projects up for sale including David Cronenberg’s “The Shrouds” and Michel Gondry’s “The Book Of Solutions”.
