Netflix Gives First Tease for Tim Burton’s Addams Family Spin-Off ‘Wednesday’
Tim Burton’s upcoming Netflix series Wednesday will be an Addams Family spin-off that focuses on Wednesday in school as she uses her supernatural abilities to solve… things. Today, the Twitter account for the upcoming series gave us our first tease. Well, sort of. The short video features, Addams Family, Thing pointing out grave danger on its way in the form of Wednesday Addams.

Wednesday is a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting 16-year-old Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. Season One will follow Wednesday as she attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the murder mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago – all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.
Jenny Ortega going to play the role of Wednesday, which is already exciting. More exciting news comes from the fact that Christina Ricci will have a part in the Burton series as well. While she prolly isn’t going to be playing any form of Wednesday, it is safe to say that whatever she plays will still be pretty awesome.
The tease points us towards Netflix’s upcoming “Geek Week” of June 6. So, it looks like we will be getting our first official trailer on or around that date.
As a huge Addams Family fan, this is definitely exciting.
